Cationic Emulsions

1. Spray60 Tack Coat Spray Grade Emulsion K1-60

Spray60 is a Rapid Setting Cationic Emulsion characterized by its low viscosity and rapid deposition of binder as soon as its in contact with road binder course or overlay course and aggregate. In accordance with BS 434 standards its minimum binder content is 57% and Ideal as a spray grade emulsion prior to application of HMA or CMA.

Typical spray rate is between 0.8 to 1.2 lit/m2 at ambient temperature or heated to 45°C or as advised by Engineer on site. This is available in both Drums and Bulk supply.

2. Spray 70 Tack Coat Spray Grade Emulsion K1-70

Spray70 is a Rapid Setting Cationic Emulsion characterized by its high viscosity and rapid deposition of binder as soon as its in contact with road binder course or overlay course and aggregate.

In accordance with BS 434 standards its, minimum binder content is 67% and Ideal as a spray grade emulsion.

Typical spray rate is between 0.8 to 1.2 lit/m2 heated to 65°C or as advised by Engineer on site. Spray70 is available in both Drums and Bulk supply.

3. Prime EP Spray Grade Emulsion Primer

Prime-EP is a Slow Setting Cationic Emulsion characterized by its low viscosity and slow deposition of binder as soon as its in contact with road binder course allowing penetration into the binder course in readiness for surfacing works it’s an excellent alternative to cutback based primers with low VOC content.

In accordance with BS 434 standards, its minimum binder content is 57% and Ideal as a spray grade emulsion. Typical spray rate is between 0.8 to 1.21it/m2 but depends with the final surface condition and guidance will be provided by or advised by Engineer on site. Prime–EP is available in both Drums and Bulk supply.

4. Mix65 Premix Grade Emulsion (K3-65)

Mix65 is a Unique Slow Setting Cationic Emulsion characterized by its slow deposition of binder, ideal for, mixing with aggregate with high fines content in preparation of dense graded mixes of Cold Mix Asphalt courses.

In accordance with BS 434 standards, its minimum binder content is 60% or classed as K3-65 and its ideal as a premix or mix grade emulsion.

It can be appropriated on Labour intensive works or semi-mechanized programs or fully automated mechanized batching systems.

Depending on site programs, the materials can be blended specifically for stock piling or direct insitu production for immediate application. Mix65 can also be used for laying premix with a paver. Mix65 is available in both Drums and Bulk supply.
